Community Information
Community Reference Group
Community Reference Group (CRG) membership consists of a diverse and wide range of regional community and business representatives. CRG sessions provide an excellent opportunity to learn about the proposed Avonbank Project, ask questions, and have input into areas of the project design. The core purpose of the CRG is to provide an avenue to facilitate flow of information from WIM back to stakeholders on all aspects of the project and to allow CRG members to raise any issues in relation to the project and its potential environmental, social and economic impacts during the course of the project planning and approvals process.
Stavely Block 10 – Stakeholder & Community Engagement
WIM’s Stavely Block 10 Project Manager and Land Officer will engage directly with any affected landholders, should works need to be undertaken on or near their properties. Exploration will be low impact, particularly for geophysical surveys which typically do not lead to ground disturbance.
A free call community information hotline is available: 1800 959 298.
PROJECT INFORMATION SESSIONS
WIM has held a series of information sessions at local community halls since 2019 and numerous meetings with individual landholders during the course of our exploration.
Avonbank Project Webinar Series
WIM has hosted ten webinars to date, with more planned in the coming months. Past topics include groundwater, air quality, noise and vibration, and transportation. Future webinars include soils and landform, and flora and fauna. Webinars are a great way to hear from industry experts about findings from project Impact Assessments, and to ask questions. They are recorded, and can be watched from our website, Facebook page, or YouTube channel.
Avonbank Project Newsletter
The Avonbank Project Newsletter is issued approximately five times a year and serves as a great way to stay updated on the project, the Environment Effects Statement, test pit site rehabilitation, and recent stakeholder engagement news, including upcoming events. Digital copies are available on the website, and printed copies of the latest newsletter can be obtained from our Horsham office. An abridged version is also published in the Weekly Advertiser.

Look out for flyers or social media posts to find out when our next information session is being held. Information sessions are frequently held at:
- Horsham
- Dooen
- Haven
